UVA F33 Can-Am for sale

This is an opportunity to buy a part built rare self build supercar.

Please note the cars in the photos above are the company demonstrator, NOT the car for sale.

As you can see, the car is a real head-turner, in fact I've never seen one on the road. I understand that most of them were for track use - with good reason. Set this thing up correctly and you've got a lightweight, high speed car with excellent handling. The run I took in the demonstrator was unlike anything else I'd experienced!

Before you ask, I am selling it because a few years ago I moved to the opposite side of the country. Unfortunately the new place had no garage. I still haven't got a garage and the car has been occupying the garage at my mother's house for all that time. I would love to finish the car, but have come to the conclusion that it isn't going to happen in the near future. I would love to see someone else finish and use the car though.

So what is for sale? Have a look here and it will give you some idea:

The chassis is based on the UVA Fugitive off road chassis, but modified and lowered substantially. Then independent suspension is added at each corner and the engine moved inboard to make a mid-engined layout. A number of engine options were possible, but I went for the Rover 3.5L V8. The engine is mated to a highly modified VW gearbox with the synchromesh replaced with what should be bullet proof performance.

The large air intakes you can see on the side of the car ram air into a radiator on each side.

I reckon at least 95% of what is required to finish the car is in the garage, including the following:

- A steering & rolling chassis, with engine, gearbox and floor in place. Spax adjustable shocks all round.
- Wiring loom.
- Seats
- All instruments
- All pedals, including brake with bias adjustment
- Three point harnesses
- All bodywork
- Build manual
- Rover Manual
- Fuel tank with pump

Please note that the gear linkage is for a different gearbox (Porsche if I remember correctly).

Can't remember whether I ever bought lights or any other significant bits and bobs or not, but whatever I got for the car will go with it.

UVA themselves have folded and I do not know whether anyone else has taken up production of any of the parts, but UVA seem to have a fairly active owners club. I would suggest contacting them should you need any information.

To make an offer or ask any questions, email me at uva@dynamobang.co.uk

Once again, please note the cars in the photos above are the company demonstrator, NOT the car for sale.

The car is located in the Cambridge area and you will need to collect. If you are planning to collect, don't forget that there is bodywork as well as the rolling chassis to transport!

Cheers
